Hey Guys!
Makeup is not all about high end brands: you can achieve a flawless makeup without emptying your bank account! Some drugstore makeup products can be as good if not better than more expensive designer makeup. You often pay not only for the quality of the product but also for the brand. Some brands actually belong to the same company, share the same manufacturers sell very similar products... But with very different prizes! Also, these last few years drugstore makeup has evolved and improved a lot, and often offers "dupes", or as I prefer to call them "alternatives" to high end makeup. Here are the products that have made it in my makeup bag and some of them even replaced their more expensive rivals. ^_^
Of course high end makeup is still great, offers (most of the time) great quality products, with very nice and luxurious packaging (which for me remains the weak point of drustore makeup...).

Getting Rid of Acne Scarring.

Who has never gotten  that ugly zit right on the middle of the face? And often, as if that were not enough, we get it right at the worst times: right before a wedding, Christmass Eve, or any other big event. Oh! that anoying little b******! And as always, you will not resist the urge to scratch it... and the damage is done ! An unsightly scar takes the place of the pimple. Now there is no going back. Your friends will tell you off for touching that pimple, but it is not your fault, after all it deserved it ! You didn't ask for it to sit there!

Now, what should you do in order to get rid of that scar?!

Don't panic! There is a solution that won't empty your bank account and that is 100% natural and effective . It's the good old Honey and Lemon Mask !

 

HOW CAN HONEY AND LEMON HELP IMPROVE MY SKIN?

 

Honey can be used as an antiseptic and is very efficient against bacteria, so it purifies your skin.

Honey also promotes new tissue growth. Before pasteurization, honey contains bee pollen, propolis, and other components that stimulate the growth of new skin. Moreover, it helps the skin hold moisture in.

Lemon juice is also a well known natural antiseptic and can help lighten acne scars if used sparingly. Don't rub the lemon right on your face as it would be too irritating for your skin, but use it as part of a facial mask, in this case combined with honey.
 
Together, honey and lemon makes the perfect combo in order to get rid of acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Here is the recipe:
 
 
HONEY AND LEMON MASK.

Squeeze 1/2 a lemon (organic is always better) into a bowl, add 2 tbsp of honey (0rganic, raw, natural ). Mix it with a spoon until it’s a liquid consistency. Apply it all over a clean face avoiding eye area. *Also make sure that  your hair is pulled back away from your face as the mask is rather sticky!  Leave on for 15-20 min and rinse off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.
